I lived in Rockhampton in Central Queensland from 2009 until 2017, and although I loved my time there, and it had everything I needed, it did feel a long way from the rest of the world. I guess that was in my subconscious when I made this assemblage. I had made a few sets of the wing doors a few years earlier, and when I rediscovered them, I knew I had to make something of them. It owes a lot to the look of  Queenslander houses, like the one I was living in at the time.

I entered it in the 2017 Bayton Award and it spent a month in exhibition in the Rockhampton Art Gallery.
